Terms & Conditions - the basics

By using the Strength Norms Calculator for Powerlifting provided by The Strength Initiative, you agree to the following terms and conditions:
 

  1. Data Collection: Any data or information collected through the use of the calculator is anonymous. By using the calculator, you understand and agree that your data is being collected to provide you with the calculated results based on our research.
     

  2. Use of Calculator: The calculator allows you to compare your current strength to normative data developed by van den Hoek et al (2024). By entering your biological sex, age classification, body weight, and 1RM for any or all of the lifts (squat, bench press, deadlift), you will see your decile ranking amongst powerlifters of the same age, sex, and competitive weight class.
     

  3. Benchmarking and Tracking: You may use the results obtained from the calculator to benchmark and track your own or your athlete's scores against global powerlifting athlete data.
     

  4. Data Storage: By using this calculator, you agree to have your data stored indefinitely. Your data may be used for future research, scientific publications, or related activities. Rest assured, all data collected is anonymous.
     

  5. Consent: Your use of the calculator signifies your consent to abide by these terms and conditions and your understanding of the data collection and storage practices outlined herein.
